MARITIMO TEAM FOR FORT LAUDERDALE BIGGEST EVER

Australian luxury motor yacht manufacturer, Maritimo, is gearing up to have one of its strongest showings ever at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, one of the world’s largest,  starting on October 31.

The centerpiece of the company’s on water display will be the revolutionary new X60 sport yacht which created headlines when it was revealed for the first time in the Americas at the recent Annapolis Boat Show. Maritimo Americas’ President, Dave Northrop, said the response to the X60 after its USA premiere in Annapolis had been ‘phenomenal’ and he expected a similar response in Fort Lauderdale.

Maritimo will be showcasing the X60, the new generation M54 and the S51 at Fort Lauderdale and it will have its largest ever contingent of dealer partners represented at the show.

In addition to a team from the Australian Maritimo headquarters dealer partners including Silver Seas Yachts, Compass Point Yachts Inc, Galati Yacht Sales, Colony Marine, B and E Marine and Chesapeake Yacht Centre will be present with the Maritimo Americas representatives.

Northrop said feedback from customers was that Maritimo’s huge emphasis on the combination of refinement to its already five star product and major advances in terms of fit out, style and design was a winner.

“The X series is no doubt a game changer in what we call the ‘coupe style’ boat sector, but the new M series models and the S series sedans are also turning heads,” he said. “The M series motor yachts with their climate controlled flybridges have major appeal and the new X series vessels with the huge variety provided in space utilisation in the aft cabin area are resonating well with potential buyers. Interestingly we have had pretty much an equal level of interest in that aft cabin space being used as either a beach club or another VIP cabin with twin accommodation.”

Maritimo’s CEO Garth Corbitt said it was a milestone for the company to have so many dealer partners involved at this year’s Fort Lauderdale show.

“We have been rolling out this strategy of appointing top flight and highly successful dealer partners  across the Americas for some time and with Dave Northrop re-joining us to help drive that effort we have made large in-roads in recent months,” he said. “We want our brand represented by only the best and now we have a network of true professionals that is second to none in that marketplace.”

“The first reveal of the X60 at Annapolis and the response to the newly refined M54 was literally overwhelming and now with the network we have in place and our brand awareness building, I am very excited by what the future holds for us in the Americas.”

Northrop said the recent dealer partner appointments had doubled the company’s base and he was confident  the rate of sales was about to pick up accordingly.

Where the established destinations provide certainty and infrastructure, these lesser-travelled areas introduce a more deliberate style of cruising. Distances stretch, anchorages become more selective, and the environment begins to dictate both pace and possibility.
