Maritimo’s sleek S59 motor yacht which holds pride of place in the Maison Mumm Marquee in the VIP studded Birdcage at Flemington in Melbourne has already proved a big hit after only the first day of racing.
Hundreds of revellers who attended the Maison Mumm marquee on Derby Day were blown away by the luxury motor yacht and the overall yacht club themed facility.
Maritimo CEO Garth Corbitt who hosted the company’s VIP guests at the Birdcage said the response had been ‘electric’. “They can’t believe that we able to get a vessel of this size all the way from the Gold Coast, via the Sydney International Boat Show, and then to Melbourne,” he said. “This feat even has people talking as far away as the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show where we have a team of people currently running our large on water display there. The number of people taking selfies and also getting photographed by professional photographers on and beside the S59 was amazing. If Derby Day was any indication then Melbourne Cup Day on Tuesday is going to be huge.”
Among the internationally famous VIP guests who frequented the Maison Mumm Marquee yesterday was sprinting sensation Usain Bolt shown here with Garth Corbitt on the Maritimo S59.
