Maritimo owners who cruise the east coast of Australia will have the welcome mat thrown out for them in a meaningful way if they visit the Mackay Marina on their way to or from the Whitsunday Islands.
Marina manager, Ben Anderson, has compiled a package of benefits in conjunction with Maritimo that could represent some significant savings for Maritimo owners.
Maritimo’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Greg Haines, said Mackay was an important destination for boaties making the trip from southern Queensland to the northern cruising waters, so the benefits being offered are welcomed.
“We have negotiated a deal with the marina that will be a real plus for our owners who make the pilgrimage north,” he said.
The special Maritimo package includes a five cents a litre discount off premium fuel, four nights for the price of three in the marina, first day of any hardstand charges free if vessels have to be lifted for antifoul or maintenance work, a further 10 percent discount for shipyard services and antifouling and a special Maritimo rate for accommodation at the Clarion Hotel in Mackay if boaties have to stay while work is undertaken on their vessels.
“We are pleased to be able to provide these benefits to our owners and skippers only need to contact the marina in advance and mention the special package to get the deals,” said Mr Haines.
“A lot of our owners go on extended cruises and Mackay is a good mid-way point for many of them travelling from the Gold Coast or southern Queensland heading to the reef.”
